WhatsApp Business for iOS Now Available, Still in Beta

A year on after making it available for Android users, WhatsApp Business for iOS is now available for download in beta. Designed for small businesses, WABetainfo reports the app is still in beta stage and has features just like the main WhatsApp for iOS.

Making known the availability, WABetainfo said, “After the launch of the official WhatsApp Business for Android, a lot of users asked a compatible version for iOS. We don’t know the reasons why it wasn’t available together the Android version, probably because WhatsApp has more users on Android, but today we’re happy to announce the iOS version is finally available in beta!”

The beta program is now full but the app can be accessed via its TestFlight page. Apart from the main feature, WhatsApp Business for iOS has useful business messaging tools and a different darker blue colour.

To use the app, users must agree to the Terms of Service, upon acceptance you will be prompted to migrate your chat history from your main WhatsApp account to the business app, you can accept or reject this. You also have the option of using a different phone number to configure WhatsApp for Business if you do not want to use your main number.

Exclusive features of the Business app include “Recipients”, “Greeting Message”, “Schedule” and lots more.

The Beta version is available for download in all countries and the official version is expected to be made available for download on App Store in the coming weeks.
