There’s no doubt that Tecno mobile phones are generally durable. I mean they last very long.
My only problem with this brand is that they don’t offer an upgrade to the latest OS.
But then, who wants to use one android phone forever?
I guess they prefer having us change our Tecno android phones to a different model whenever we wish to switch to a different OS.
The company is, however, making life easier for people with average budgets by producing mid-range Tecno smartphones with reasonable features. Some of the newly launched Tecno phones have the same features found in expensive high-end phones like iPhone 6 and iPhone 7.
This list is a compilation of the latest Tecno phones on the market. The phones feature the latest OS and newest technology. Plus, some of them are much more affordable than they appear.

1. Phantom 8
The most outstanding feature of this phone is the large RAM. This makes it super-fast and can conveniently handle 80 apps without lagging a bit.
The body is made of metal and the back has a reflective diamond fire design. That’s why it comes with a special back cover protector.
The processing has been compared to iPhone 6 Plus in a real-life test and it emerged faster than the iPhone. It doesn’t get hot or warm after a longtime use with several background apps running. This is really cool.
Tecno Phantom 8 has really good front and back cameras that capture images very fast and give high-level detail compared to most Tecno phones.

2. Spark K7
Tecno Spark K7 is a stylish mid-range phone for those on a tight budget. Although it is a somewhat low-end phone, it appears as a flagship.
I love how it is beautifully designed with curvy edges and a slim body. The body is purely plastic but you won’t easily detect at a mere glance; it seems like metal. With this phone in your hand, you won’t feel like an ordinary commoner.
It’s not really a gaming phone but you’ll still enjoy games like temple run and asphalt without any hassle. Make sure not to open too many heavy apps If you need to frequently switch between them. Otherwise, your phone will become slow.

3. Spark Plus K9
This is the elder brother of Spark K7. It comes with more advanced features compared to the ordinary Spark. It’s sleek and encased in a metallic cover. Spark Plus k9 and Spark k7 are the debuts of the “Spark” series.
This phone has a larger RAM. Therefore, you can enjoy a more seamless gaming experience.
The Spark Plus has a larger display for a wider view angle. The specs are similar to that of Tecno L7. Only that this one comes with upgraded features like the Nougat OS and fingerprint scanner.

4. Camon CX Manchester City Limited Edition
As the name implies, it’s got something to do with Manchester City Football Club and yes, it’s available in a limited number. In fact, only 200 units will be sold in Nigeria. So, it’s probably out of stock as you’re reading this. Because it’s hot.
The phone is branded with both Tecno and Mancity logo. It comes along with a selfie stick, Bluetooth speaker, and stainless steel liquid container. The design is similar to the original Camon CX but comes in city blue color and has a large RAM that’s twice the original version.
This version has a screen protector already mounted on the display. You’ll definitely fall in love with this device if you’re a Mancity fan. It even comes with a Mancity theme pre-installed on it.

5. WX 4 & WX 4 Pro
Tecno Mobile has been releasing quite a number of mid-range phones with students and individuals with a low budget in mind. These two phones are similar with a little difference to help you make a choice that best fits your pocket and lifestyle.
The major difference between them is the RAM. WX 4 comes with a 1GB RAM while WX 4 Pro is equipped with a 2GB RAM. This makes the pro version a better choice for any gaming freak. Also, it gives a more effortless multitasking experience than the normal version.
They both have the same display size, storage capacity, camera resolution, battery size, and processor speed. As little as the difference seems, the functionality differs a lot.

6. WX 3, WX 3 P, & WX 3 LTE
Tecno WX 3 is a low-budget phone with average specs. The features are okay considering the cost price. It is specifically designed for anyone on a tight budget who still wants to have a feel of high-end phones.
It is carefully designed with a texture that will make you have an easy grip when it’s in your hand. You won’t have to worry about your phone slipping off your hand. It is covered with a plastic cover and doesn’t come with a fingerprint scanner.
The major variation between the normal device and the other two – P and LTE versions – is that WX 3 P comes with a battery capacity of 5000mAh while WX3 LTE supports 4G LTE. This means that if you must choose between any of them, you’d have to decide if you prefer a longer battery life or a faster internet connection.

7. L9
This is a large battery phone; an upgrade to the celebrated Tecno L8. It has so many features that are found on high-rated iPhone and Samsung phones. This is not to say it is equivalent in quality to those phones but, at least, you enjoy similar features at lower cost.
Tecno L9 allows you to switch between apps without having to long-press the home button or even go back to the home screen. Although the back camera is 8MP, it produces sharp and colorful images that are appealing to the eyes.
The fast response fingerprint scanner and the fast charger are both commendable.

8. L9 Plus
If you need a more advanced phone to Tecno L8 Plus, this is it. The 7.0 Nougat OS is adorned with the customized HIOS interface. This means you get some more amazing features.
Its major advantages over L9 are the larger RAM, battery capacity, and higher camera resolution. Considering the huge battery capacity, it’s incredible that the back camera is pegged at a high resolution of 13 MP. That’s cool.
It comes with a Silicon jelly case right in the box. This is good for protection. The device supports OTG. So, you can take advantage of the large battery to use it as a power bank to charge other phones.

9. Camon CX
This phone is an upgrade to the super-hyped Camon C9, Tecno’s flagship, which was released in 2016. It is faster and comes with Android 7.0 Nougat OS, unlike the 6.0 Marshmallow in C9. The newer OS minimizes battery consumption and features a more colorful user interface.
The fingerprint scanner has a super fast response time that won’t make you wait any longer. Surprisingly, it comes with a non-removable metal body back cover. This is unlike the C9 that’s enclosed in a plastic cover.
Camon Cx supports the split screen, which allows you to simultaneously run two programs in one window. This feature works even in landscape mode. The smart flip cover that’s packed with it in the box allows you to switch on and switch off your flashlight without opening it. It also lets you play audio.
Note that the back cover is non-removable.

10. Camon CX Air
This is a younger brother to the normal CX. Although they’re very similar, they’ve got some little differences which make the CX superior. It sports a metal unibody cover and comes with a smart flip case like its brother.
It’s also pre-installed with the 7.0 Nougat OS and the HIOS interface. So, you’re sure to get an advanced functionality compared to the Marshmallow phones.
Camon CX Air features a lower camera resolution and a slower processor than the normal version. But of course, this one is more affordable. The price difference isn’t really much, though. As for the battery life, they both have the same capacity.

11. PhonePad 3
PhonePad 3 is a phablet with a unique feature; its fingerprint scanner is mounted on the side just below the power button. This is the first Tecno phone I’ve seen with this feature.
It is a large device most suitable for big hands. The design is awesome and the body feels smooth in the hand. The only downside, in my opinion, is the Android 6.0 Marshmallow that is pre-installed. I guess Tecno Mobile haven’t made up their mind, yet, to begin to pre-install the 7.0 Nougat on Phablets. Although it also features the HIOS UI.
The phablet is available with a smart pouch for easy and fast accessibility. Now, you can switch on your flashlight and listen to audio without even opening the pouch.
