Design And Display
Umidigi F1 Play just like its sibling has a 6.3-inch FHD+ LTPS IPS LCD display with a small chin down at the bottom and a water drop notch at the top housing the single front-facing camera which can also be used for face Unlock a.k.a FaceID.
The back which is made with plastic has the dual rear cameras with red accents around it, LED flash and the fingerprint sensor on it. Edges on the Umidigi F1 Play are curved with rounded corners which makes it a pleasure to hold. Colour options are limited to just Red and Black. It uses a Hybrid SIM – 2 SIM cards or 1 SIM and One MicroSD card for storage expansion.
UMIDIGI F1 Play Camera Review
The F1 Play is one of the cheapest devices to sport the Samsung 48MP sensor at the back. The main 48MP shooter has an f/1.7 aperture and is accompanied by a secondary 8MP shooter with Dual-LED flash, Face ID and real-time filters for both photos and videos. The device is also taunted to have super low light performance. It can also shoot videos in 1080p at 30fps. The front-facing shooter for selfies is a 16MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and is capable of also shooting 1080p videos at 30fps. It can also be used for Face Unlock on the device.
Hardware and Software
At the heart of the Umidigi F1 Play is the same MediaTek Helio P60 SoC that runs on the Umidigi F1. The MediaTek Helio P60 SoC has an Octa-Core processor clocked at 2.0GHz paired with ARM Mali G72 MP3 GPU clocked at 800MHz. For multitasking, 6GB of RAM is on board with 64GB of storage which can be expanded up to 256GB via the second SIM slot which is also a memory card slot. Umidigi F1 Play runs the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box without any Skin – Pure undiluted Android with Optimal performance.
Battery & Network Connectivity
Powering the Umidigi F1 Play is a Hefty 5,150mAh battery capacity with an 18W fast battery charging through it’s USB Type-C. It also has dual 4G LTE connectivity with Global 4G bands and VoLTE on both SIM slots. Also, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, WiFi direct, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5mm jack and even NFC are all present here.
