Good afternoon everyone and today we will be bring you the First impression of the new TECNO CAMON CX and the review, all review and write up by TechCity
After a whole lot of anticipation accelerated by tit bits and online teasers, the awaited TECNO Camon CX was launched alongside Camon CX Air in Kenya yesterday and it was ushered in with lots of excitement and mouth-watering specifications, leaving fans with so much to expect.
We have got our copy of the Camon CX here and while you look forward to the full review in the coming days we would quickly do a straight dive into what’s in the box.
A first look at the case brings smile to the face even when the device is yet to be taken out. For people who are not too careful with their devices, you will get a free cracked screen replacement within the first three months of purchase so if you accidentally get your screen cracked within the time period, then TECNO got you covered.
Opening up the box, you immediately see the Camon CX, covered with a thin nylon with specs prints on it. I will say TECNO has really kept its packaging really simple this time around.
Every other accessory in the box is revealed when you take out the phone – The Power plug, USB/charging cable, earpiece, free protective smart case, warranty card and the user manual.
See unboxing video:
The Camon CX speaks volume of a premium affordable smartphone, from the design to the build material and quality. It comes with a 5.5-inch full HD IPS touchscreen, a full metallic body and it is quite slim and easy to hold and operate.
Button positions on the right hand side and finger print sensor are easy to reach when operating with one hand, screen operations also are easily handled but reaching for the top screen may require the use of two hands especially for people who have small palms.
There is no doubt that this phone is designed for the selfies as the slogan dictates – ‘Show your quality selfie’. There are a number of selfie adaptive features like a 16MP front camera with dual flash to brighten up your selfie especially when you are in the dark environment, a customized real-time portrait filter which offers photo filtering features we always depend on third part apps to provide and a wide angle selfie which allows you capture more people in a selfie shot.
Finger print sensor can also be used to take selfies and it scores a point above other devices I have used, it is really fast.
The back of the device resembles that of an iPhone with both the 16MP camera position and the strip at the top and bottom of the device.
Key features of the Camon CX include:
- 5.5-inch FHD IPS Touch Display
- 1.5GHz Octa-core processor
- Fingerprint Sensor
- Android 7.0 (Nougat) with HiOS overlay
- 2GB RAM,
- 16GB internal storage – expandable with a memory card up to 128GB
- 16MP Rear Camera with Ring flash and 16MP Front Camera with dual flash
- 4G LTE
- 3200mAh Battery with light speed/Fast Charge
Stay tuned as we bring you the full review in the coming days, however I can say I am highly impressed with the first impression. I will be digging very deep, just like I did to the Camon C9.
